Hello and welcome to my fishkeeping blog! My name is Dera, and I’m very excited to share my passion for this hobby with you.
I’ve been taking care of tropical fish for almost 15 years now. It all started when I was a kid. My brother has somehow convinced our father to get him a small aquarium to breed some small fish. And me being competitive also asked to have my own fish in the aquarium.
And to get my own pet fish, I had to take care of it from feeding to water filtering. Basically, being a babysitter. And me being still young didn’t have that discipline so most of the time it was taken care of by my brother. I became fascinated with keeping these small creatures when we got more fish as I grew up, so I started studying them seriously and I would always ask my brother questions whenever I encountered something strange or didn’t understand. And as time went by, I gained moderate expertise in this hobby and now it has become more than a hobby, it become a passion.
Therefore in this blog, I want to share my experiences and what I’ve learned along the way. Keeping fish can be a bit of a challenge, but it’s so worth it when you see your little friends thriving.
